Ram Gopal Varma is back. He surprised many not long ago by coming out with Phoonk, a horror flick based on black magic. It worked at the box office though romantic and action movies were rulling the roast at that time. He is here to scare the film lovers once again with Phoonk 2, a sequel to Phoonk.
Phoonk 2 begins from where Phoonk ended. The spirit of a death starts haunting a family seeking revenge. The protagonist moves to a new place with his family. However, all hell breaks loss after his kids finds a doll in the woods. You will have to watch the film to know if the protagonist gives in to the ghost or betrays his family.
The highlight of the film is its scary elements. Ramu claimed that Phoonk 2 is not a horror film but a scary one. He added that it would be much scarier that the original. He even threw a challenge to the public by saying that whoever watched the film without getting scared could walked away with Rs 500,000.
Interestingly, Ramu, who is known for making unfamiliar films, let debutante Milind Gadagkar direct the film while he produced it along with Prashant Burra and P.Chandra Shekar. This film starring Sudeep, Amruta Khanvilkar and Ahsaas Channa is set for release tomorrow, April 16.
